Sovereign City Communications Appoints New President and Chief Operating Officer

Green Bay, Wis.—Sovereign City Communications, LLC, announced today that it has named Joseph R. Giganti as its president and chief operating officer (COO). Giganti will assume overall day-to-day operations of the company and be involved in its long term planning as well. Sovereign City is currently focused on developing high-quality music and talk radio formats for distribution to HD and main radio frequencies, with its first product—a new hybrid adult contemporary (AC) format—due in April 2008.

Giganti—who brings over two decades of media experience in television, radio, marketing and public relations to the position—joined Sovereign City Communications at the beginning of 2007 as its vice president for media and music. A native of Washington, D.C., Giganti previously served as president of Veritas Media Group, a public relations and production firm based in the nation’s capitol, where he was responsible for leading several successful public relations and marketing campaigns. He also produced and directed several industrial films and documentaries, including Dead in the Water, which will premiere internationally on September 20, 2007 on EWTN’s global network. Prior to founding Veritas, Giganti worked extensively in many facets of the television and radio industry including as on-air talent, executive producer and in production.
