Phil Strider Joins Sovereign City as Vice President of Affiliate Relations

Green Bay, Wis.—Sovereign City Communications, LLC (SCC), announced today that Phil Strider has joined the company as its new vice president of affiliate relations. Strider will develop strategies for introducing and securing radio stations around the United States to air Sovereign City’s new Adult Contemporary (AC) music format that is now being tested and refined for national distribution.

“Phil is another key component to the team of radio professionals that is being assembled at Sovereign City,” stated Joseph R. Giganti, SCC’s president and COO. “As we move ever closer to formally launching our new hybrid AC format, it is important to have such a strong broadcaster on board for the maiden voyage.”

“Phil has been in radio broadcasting since high school and brings a depth of experience - from on-air announcing to station management to securing affiliate radio and television outlets- that will help ensure a successful roll out of this new format,” Giganti continued. Strider did successful on-air and programming stints for heritage stations KBPI in Denver and KZOK in Seattle. He was also Regional Operations Director for the Metro Networks and worked in affiliate relations for Jones Radio Networks; securing and maintaining full format services and syndication of shows such as Delilah and Lia. “We are delighted that someone of Phil’s caliber has chosen to join us in this new and exciting endeavor. He is a welcome and integral addition to our growing team.” Giganti added.
