Our product line includes syndicated music and talk radio formats and shows, web-based commerce solutions and educational tools. Our growth as a business has reached the point where we have an immediate need for a Human Resources Director to report to our Chief Financial Officer.
Your responsibilities would include but not be limited to:
- Development of a Human Resources Department in an exciting, start-up environment that encourages personal, professional and spiritual growth among all Sovereign City associates.
- Oversee the development and administration of benefits programs, compensation structures, compliance and reporting functions, employee relations, recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Assist department managers in posting notices of open positions, interviewing candidates, and participate in the decision-making process for placement of qualified individuals.
- Develop and present orientation materials on company procedures and policies for newly hired associates to include employee handbook, compliance documents, compensation and benefits details, company mission, and communications guidelines.
- Ensure company and individual compliance with all local, state and federal labor laws.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business
- Professional certification (PHR or SPHR) is preferred
- 7—10 years experience of progressive leadership in Human Resources positions
- Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, organizational planning and development, employee relations, training and development.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills, plus above-average oral and written communications skills.
- Experience in the administration of benefits, compensation and other HR programs.
- Superior computer skills in Microsoft Windows, including Office, Excel, Power Point and Word programs
